First Baby of the Year Gets Free Photo Baby Announcements and More

There is a tradition at the Skaggs Community Health Center in Branson, Missouri. The first baby born there each year receives presents from local businesses. This New Year's baby and his family got a variety of gifts, valued at over six hundred dollars. Some of the presents included a Branson Bank $100 savings bond, a Branson Photo $50 gift certificate, some Carter's Children's Wear infant T-shirts, a Country Mart $25 gift card, a First Community Bank of Taney County $100 savings bond, Flash Photo 25 photo baby announcements and photo enlargements, an Ozark Mountain Bank, $100 savings bond, a Tanger Outlet $50 gift card, a Swift Shots $100 photo package, and a McDonald's $25 gift certificate. The first baby of the year was Audie Joe Ward Jr. He weighed five pounds, thirteen ounces and was eighteen inches long.
