Baby Photos Will Last A Lifetime

baby photosBaby photos are cute and special memories. A great digital camera is recommended. Never take the time to stage your photographs with your youngster; they should be the spur of the moment. The more natural your photos turn out the more they will be cherished. Choose a high quality photography album that will well preserve them throughout the years to come. Make sure it is something you and your child will both love as they grow. Scrapbooking is also another way to have fun and be creative for the whole family. Remember to use your creativity because it will last a lifetime.

Make Sure Your Baby Photos Last Forever

Baby PhotosJust because you've taken hundreds of baby photos doesn't mean that your children will ever get to see them when they grow up. Hard drives can corrupt, CDs scratch, many photo storage sites go bankrupt, and formats change. However here are some steps you can take to avoid a disaster and keep your precious memories:

Keep backups in several locations. If you don't have a home computer, don't rely only on your office computer. You could lose them if you lose your job. Even at home, keep copies on an external drive, CDs, or DVDs just in case your computer's disk drive fails. You should also consider an online backup service in case some kind of natural disaster hits your home.

Upkeep your CDs and DVDs. Make extra copies, and move data to a new set of discs every few years. Computers decades from now might not even have drives for reading CDs and DVDs.

Know the limitations of online storage. Don't just rely on one service because the site may disappear without warning. Also remember that a photo sharing service is not the same as online backup. Many free sites restrict access to the original, high-resolution version of photos needed for good prints.

Migrate your photos. When you change computers, bring files to your new machine immediately, before the old one breaks down. Open files on your new computer to make sure that you have the correct software. File formats can change over time, and newer programs might not be able to read older versions.
